How Do I Upgrade Magento to Work with Protx – Without Gnarling It All Up??

As far as I can work out I have to re-install magento to get the upgrade – Is this correct?

I have done a lot ofmodifications to the sites to get them to work for us and our needs.

Does anyone know of the core files needed to upgrade to get the PROTX/SAGEPAY module to work with version 1.2.1??

I am still a newbie and am worried if I upgrade (Or re-install as it seems) I will lose all my modifications…

I, like a fool did not write down what I modified – I was playing final fight magento – I hacked and slashed my way through it until I got what I was after.

I really need to know if I can upgrade a few files that will allow the PROTX module to work – The last thing I want to do is wipe out a current working site that is live.

Any help is greatly appreciated – I am also prepared to pay for any advice that can be given if needed – This is rather important to me.
