but how to control the number of products display in row and column? Say I want to have 8 new products to display at the main page, with 4 products in a row in 2 columns, is that possible?

hello sir
I m using php version 5.2 and i have also upload the php.ini file to change the magic_quotes_gpc = off
short_open_tag = on
extension=pdo.so
extension=pdo_mysql.so

but still now i m not able to upload the products image in magento if u have an solution to short out please send me mail as soon possible

Hi nice post - very useful, definitely got me on the right track.

One small thing - note that to make this work I also had to remove the class “required entry” from the actual address input field (the one just below the span mentioned here)…

Thanks for the very clear article on Coupon Rules. We are trying to get this work for Configured products so that only items from certain categories withing a configured product will get the discount. Right now, it seems that Magento can only apply the discount to all items within a configured product. Do you have any suggestions on how to make it work as I’ve outline above?

This was VERY helpful…I needed to disable the shipping block while keeping the shipping method block. It wouldn’t pull the shipping options because the shipping block was disabled, and this did the trick. Thanks a million!

It has seemed to work to some extent. What happens is when a customer goes to the checkout screen, initially it is set to deliver to this address. All good at this stage.

Now still in checkout screen, continue selecting the delivery methods and now click on the sidebar change billing to go back to the billing step. The radio button is still in delivery to this address. All good here.

Now click on My Cart or somewhere else to go back and continue shopping. Add a item and go to checkout now. At this stage the radio button has changed to Delivery to different address. It seems like it has lost track of what was selected.

Any suggestions?
