1812 is quite a classy venue with a great range of cocktails, a fantatsic decor, a nice assortment of background tunes – and generally a rather swanky place to either start or spend the night!
Located in the West part of Bournemouth, drinks aren’t cheap, service isn’t fast, and the girls are generally pretty – this is the place where you get the “higher echelons” of local society – allegedly. Buying a pint in here is not a pretty experience, especially when you’ve got a Sex on the Beach, a Banana Colada, and a Flaming Elephant (Ok I made that one up) all being made before you get your ten second point poured.
We came on a Thursday evening, and were sat next to a bunch of people who thought that they were flying in a helicopter – so much so we could hardly hear ourselves think. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our beer, as well as the numerous piss takes at Andy’s grumpiness and also Joel’s sling.

Decor in this place is beautiful, with a vast array of artificial flowers and other silk bouquets – it has that kind of candle-lit lighting, which makes it an ideal place for a first date – however, stay there at your peril, otherwise you might not have enough cash for your bus fare home!
My Rating out of Ten:
