Not really sure if you can call the title of my blog post a pun really…
Anyhow, I’ve been doing some more research today on companies that are Magento-ready, and Hostmonster are one of them. Now, from what I’ve seen, I personally think this company are phenominal, and I’ve seen the speeds at which Magento runs on their servers, and it is fast.
Some people have been complaining that Magento is too CPU intensive on their server and can resuilt in slow-downs – not with these guys. I’ve had a look and a play-around, and even on the basic package the speeds are brilliant. Indeed, I half expected the monthly fee to be huge, but it was only $5.95 a month!!
Simialrly, other Hostmonster hosting plans include unlimited bandwidth, unlimited disk space, and unlimited domains. You get SSH access to your server, they are completely manageable, and the support is fantastic. I had a chat to a Kimberley (I think), and had a good chat about the rigidity of their service, and it seems second to none.
In terms of Magento, installing it took five minutes, and before long I was adding products. I seriously recommend these lot, and if their website doesnt sell it to you, I don’t know what will. Even if you’re only looking to try out Magento – you might as well try it with Hostmonster, not least because it only costs the price of a decent latte!!! Yummy.
