Purchase Restrictions
Okay. I searched up and down this forum, and have not found the answer I’m searching for. So I’m asking straight out.
What I want to know is… Has someone figured out how to restrict certain customer groups from buying certain products from a magento shop?
I do know about the module that makes makes categories and products disappear for certain customer groups. I tried to get my client to go for that, but he doesn’t want it that way. It wants people to see it, but not be able to buy it unless they perform extra steps. So I need to make so they can not buy certain items.
I had also noticed that this was part of the roadmap, and was then added to the “Enterprise” version of magento, but I cannot justify $8900 per year to the client just for one feature (go figure, huh?).
Really I’m just requesting in what direction I should be heading to get this accomplished (besides writing a new module, as I’m not good enough at either PHP or magento for that)
