The “SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity Constraint Violation” Error

Numerous people have been emailed in to me over the past week as they have been discovering an error when trying to Manage their Stores in the Magento Admin system. We’ve also been told that the error also appeared for one user on the front end, moments after they added products and moved some images via FTP.
The full error shows the text:
1 | SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1052 Column ‘name’ in where clause is ambiguous |
This error is usually caused by one of your plugins which is causing a conflict with the Magento installation. In this situation you are advised to disable each plugin one by one, and see when the error disappears. Unfortunately, in Magento’s early stage, a lot of plugins seem to manage to being out the bugs in the software – and it is more than likely that it is one of these which is doing the damage.

I guess we just have to rebuild search index.
I use to face such problem but after I rebuild search index, I cannot reproduce such problem anymore. Problem solved.
