Cool, funky, great vibe – not a bad word can ever be said about Sixty Million Postcards. This place has such a contemporary geek chic atmosphere, and the general feel of the place is very much “left-of-centre”.
Sixty Million has a great range of beers, and ales, with some amazing bottled drinks too. We ended up sitting in the booth, only to be greeted half way through the evening with a plate of free cakes and biscuits (one of which Tim thought was a block of cheese).
The music in this place involves Daft Punk, Broken Social Scene, Bloc Party remix kind of stuff – I think “electic” is the word! This definitely influences the type of people that come here, and if you’re in to the hippy but modern type of clothing, you should head into this place to see how people who look as though they dress in the 70s STILL look cool.

There are numerous booths, plenty of seating, a good number of bar staff, and an extensive smoking area out the front, which makes 60 Million the ideal place in the summer. Indeed, if you drive past on a Saturday afternoon you will see this place absolutely rammed. You have got to go here on any Bournemouth pub crawl.
